HOW TO CLEAN YOUR MENSTRUAL CUP

Sterilise

Sterilise your cup before you use it for the first time & between periods.

Place the cup in a pan of boiling water for 3 - 5 minutes, allow it to cool before inserting. Do not let the cup touch the bottom of the pan. Use a spoon to keep it in place.

Cleaning while you have your period

• Wash your hands thoroughly with warm soapy water.
• Remove and empty your cup into the toilet.
• Rinse with cold water or mild soapy water.
• Check the tiny suction holes to make sure they are clear before re-inserting.
• Be sure to empty and rinse your cup at least every 8 hours (or sooner, but never longer).

Cleaning after your period

Once finished, follow the steps to sterilise your cup before drying and storing it in the breathable  cotton pouch.

Do not use household soaps, vinegar or bleach products to clean your cup.
